Latricia
started her artistic journey as a child, when dreaming of becoming a
ballet dancer and musician; expressing her creative self on paper in her
formative years instead, as there was never enough money to tutor her in
ballet or music.
When
she finally went to college, she studied Fine Art at the University of
Potchefstroom in South Africa as well as receiving private tutoring from
Barend Grobelaar and Philip Badenhorst.
Latricia’s
work evolved into a mainly expressionistic tone, using water colours,
oil and especially oil pastels with turpentine.
When
finally ready to face the world, Latricia held 6 salon and 2 solo
exhibitions, both being sell outs.
“The
moment I start to work on a new painting, my soul does all the
dancing & the music...”
